Every Bathroom Asks a Different Question
A downstairs loo and a master en-suite are not the same job scaled up and down. Each has its own constraints, and the design starts from those.
Family Bathrooms
The hardest-working room in the house, and the one most often asked to do two jobs at once. The priorities are durable surfaces, genuinely useful storage, and a layout that survives a weekday morning — usually a bath with a shower over it, and far more storage than people initially think they need.
En-Suites & Shower Rooms
Almost always tight on space, frequently with a sloped ceiling or an awkward chimney breast in the way. Wall-hung fixtures and a carefully placed shower enclosure make a small footprint feel considerably larger than its measurements suggest.
Wet Rooms & Level-Access Showers
A fully tanked floor with no tray and no step, which looks strikingly clean and also happens to be the most future-proof bathroom you can install. The waterproofing beneath is what makes or breaks it, so this is not a room to cut corners in.

Behind every tile there should be a properly tanked substrate, not just a coat of paint on plasterboard. This is the single biggest difference between a bathroom that still looks right in ten years and one that quietly rots behind the wall.
Porcelain & Natural Stone Tiling
Large-format porcelain means fewer grout lines and a calmer, more architectural look. Natural stone brings more character but wants sealing and a little ongoing care. We will tell you which is the better fit for how the room gets used.
Moisture-Resistant Cabinetry
Standard furniture-grade board does not belong in a bathroom. Vanity units and storage are built from moisture-resistant materials and properly sealed at every cut edge, which is exactly where cheaper installations swell and lift.

Bathroom Questions We Are Asked Most
How long will I be without a bathroom?
This is usually the real question behind "how long will it take". If it is your only bathroom, we plan the sequence to keep the room out of action for as short a period as possible and tell you upfront which days it will genuinely be unusable, so you can make arrangements rather than guess.
What does a new bathroom cost?
It depends far more on what is behind the walls than on the suite you pick. A straight replacement in a sound room is a very different job from one that needs the floor levelled, the plumbing moved or old tanking replaced. We survey first and quote itemised, so you can see what is driving the cost and where there is room to flex.
Can you make a small bathroom feel bigger?
Usually, yes — and rarely by knocking anything down. Wall-hung units that leave visible floor beneath them, a shower enclosure positioned to keep sight lines open, large-format tiles with fewer grout lines, and mirrored storage all make a measurable difference to how a small room reads.
Do I need a wet room, or is a walk-in shower enough?
A walk-in enclosure with a low-profile tray gives most of the look for less disruption and cost. A true wet room earns its place when you want genuine level access, or when the room's shape makes a tray impractical. We will be straight with you about which one your room actually needs.
Do you do the tiling and plumbing as well?
A bathroom is a multi-trade job by nature. We manage the project so the trades arrive in the right order and nothing is left half-finished waiting on someone else — and we are clear from the start about which parts we carry out ourselves and which are brought in.
Do you cover my area?
